my commitment to you.

fitness to drive: You must inform me of any medical conditions that may affect your driving. I reserve the the right to cancel a lesson if I suspect you are unfit to drive due to illness, tiredness, or the influence of alcohol or drugs.

cancellation and rescheduling.

Your lesson times are reserved exclusively for you. If you need to cancel or change a driving lesson, please give me at least 48 hours notice.

under 48 hours notice: The full lesson fee will be charged, or the hours will be deducted from your remaining block booking balance.

unforeseen circumstances: I understand things happen. However, short-notice cancellations mean I cannot refill that slot, so the fee must still apply.

my cancellations policy: If I need to cancel a lesson due to mechanical breakdown, illness, or extreme weather, I will give you as much notice as possible and reschedule your lesson immediately.

payments and block bookings.

individual lessons: Must be paid for at least 24 hours in advance via bank transfer to secure your slot.

block bookings: Must be paid for in full before our first lesson begins.

expiry date: All block bookings are non-refundable and must be used within 6 months of the purchase date.

the driving test.

booking your test: Booking a practical test is your responsibility, but test dates must be agreed with me beforehand to ensure the vehicle is available.

use of the car: I reserve the right to withhold the use of my car for the test if I feel you have not reached a safe, test-ready standard.

test cancellations: If the DVSA cancels your test due to weather or examiner staff shortages, the standard lesson fee for my time still applies. However, you can usually claim this fee back directly from the DVSA.

punctuality.

waiting times: I will wait at our agreed pickup location for 15 minutes past our scheduled start time.

lateness: If you do not arrive within those 15 minutes, the lesson will be cancelled and charged at the full rate. If you arrive late, your lesson will still finish at its original scheduled time.
